November 21, was the celebration of 40-th anniversary of the Chair of industrial design Ural State Academy of Architecture and Art. The exhibition, which opened at 21 November, presented of retrospective of diploma works of graduates of the department.
Over the years the faculty has issued more than 1500 professional designers who have successfully worked in all areas of industrial design, interior design and graphics.
Its graduates are working in countries near and far abroad, including in the USA, Germany, Britain, France and other countries, such as: A. Mysakova - art director of Columbia University in New York, A. Neretin - designer of the company «Peugeot» in Paris, V. Pirogkov - worked as the lead designer of the French branch «Toyota» in Nice, S. Strelnikov - leading design ¬ NERE European design - the center «Samsung Electronics» in London, etc. The department maintains close ties with Russia and Ural enterprises, is actively cooperating with foreign partners - «Gryundig» and «Paulman Licht» in Germany, «Lyucheplan» in Italy, «SamsungElektroniks» in South Korea, University of Huddersfield in the UK ¬ NII, Domus Academy in Italy, etc.
If the beginning of the department was targeting heavy industry, currently relies on innovative technologies and materials for creative and imaginative design.
The exhibition presents some examples of global design.
In the first exhibition hall shows «Automaniya 2008». This is a mobile exhibition, which has been demonstrated in Tyumen to the All-Russian Festival of Architecture, Design and arts, obtaining a diploma Union of Designers of Russia.
Also presented students research works:
1 course - devices for spices, accessories for CDs, packaging,
2 course - lamps, trademarks,
3 course - toys and furniture and interiors,
4 course - technically sophisticated instruments and equipment.
Many projects are marked by various awards and diplomas in international and domestic competitions. Presented mock-ups and animation project ideas more clearly and informative.

Vitaly Volovich - artist with a worldwide reputation, an honorary citizen of the city of Ekaterinburg - celebrated its 80 anniversary in June 2008. Nearly 60 years of creativity included in the exhibition and took most of the halls of the museum building on the Vaynera st., 11. More than 300 graphic works, about 100 of them met in color, a master of the jubilee will be presented in YMFA. The opening was attended by the author, as well as cultural figures and famous artists of the Urals.
The artist was born in a family of writers, where the cult of book prevailed, perhaps it determined his path in art and influenced the author of the book schedule. He illustrated «Tristan und Isolde», «Otello», «Richard III», «Oresteyu» - things distant from us in time. However, the artist has sought to crystallize an eternal from them. Sometimes it seems, looking at his prints that they were two hundred, three hundred years ago. As a painter admitted that he had a propensity for dramatic story. Even in the quiet landscapes have always violated tuchey or wind. Maybe this is one of the individual characteristics of the artist.
In recent years the artist has become much write butter, even released album «Old Yekaterinburg», which was reproduced his paintings. This is - an attempt to save «evading nature» of the city. «Western cities are proud of what distinguishes them from other cities - said the author - and we are proud that is no different from cities in Europe».
Repeatedly working V.M. Volovich were represented at the regional, all-Union and international art exhibitions of his work, illustrations for books gained diplomas and All-russian-Union competitions.
The works of this outstanding artist kept in the Tretyakov Gallery, State Museum of Fine Arts. Pushkin, the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, Sverdlovsk regions Urals Writers Museum, National Gallery of Prague in the Czech Republic, the Museum of Modern Art in Cologne, Shekspirovskom Center in Stratford-on-Avon in Britain and other museums and private collections of Russia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Israel, the United States. But the collection Irbitskiy State Museum of Fine Arts is the largest and most comprehensive collection of works by the artist.
